Since the launch of the app in December, we have been busy implementing new and improved features and functions requested by the rider community. We are pleased to announce that we will begin rolling out these platform updates in the coming weeks and months, just in time for the summer season!
To celebrate, we have collaborated with Ocean Bottle to create a fun and exclusive virtual challenge. Grab your board and find out how you can join the OB x KANARA Rider Challenge. Enter to win prizes while helping to combat plastic pollution and show your support for the preservation of our "playgrounds"..
How to participate in the OB x KANARA Rider Challenge
To participate in the OB x KANARA Rider Challenge, download the free KANARA mobile application for Android or iOSregister and synchronize your Garmin or Suunto. The more you practice, the more you increase your chances of climbing the rankings!
The riders verified in the number 1 positions in the KANARA Sport speed and distance rankings at the end of August and September will be declared winners of the challenge. You still have two months left to win the prize, don't miss the opportunity.
Kitesurfing/ kiteboarding, windsurfing, paddleboarding, wingfoil and surfing are permitted. No motorized water sessions will be allowed. Sessions submitted will be checked to ensure that they comply with the KANARA rules.
Every Ocean Bottle we give away prevents the equivalent of 1,000 plastic bottles or 11.4 kg of ocean debris reaching our oceans. The collected plastic is reused and recycled into new products, while the funds go directly to fairer wages and accessible forms of support for those living in the most affected and vulnerable communities.
By participating in the challenge, you can have fun while helping to combat the negative impact on our marine environment. At the end of the summer, we will share the final results of the challenge with the community.
When we started KANARA last year, we set out to start building the ultimate rider platform based on two principles: sportsmanship and stewardship. As riders and water sports enthusiasts, our goal is to create a tool that connects people, establish new forms of play and competition, promote activities and initiatives in the community, and much more.
